Unintentional Accidents among Children: Associated Factors with moderate /severe forms

Unintentional accidents are very common in children and the main reason for consultation hospitalization paediatric surgery. Aim: To determine factors associated with unintentional resulting hospitalization. Material methods: This is a cross sectional study carried out Paediatric Surgical Emergency Department of Children's Hospital Rabat over period 4 years. We processed 1205 children's files; data was collected analysed by Jamovi. Results: 545 files selected, median 8 years [4; 12] boys were predominant (70.4%). Sociodemographic represented low health insurance. In 95.1% cases, family lived house (50.1%) or an apartment (45%) compared to 4.9% who had insanitary house. For parents' level education, fathers high school education (43.6%) never attended (16.9%), 32.9% mothers did not attend school. No adult present during accident (54.6%). The occurred on weekdays (73.2%), especially winter summer (41.6% 33.8%). lesions fractures (53%). involved limbs (52.5%) head (30.2%) multiple 6.5% cases. outcome simple 96.1%.
